About us
Call The Carpenter provides home carpentry services in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala, India: repairs (doors, windows, cupboards, furniture, hinges, locks and similar) and new work (kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, TV units, beds, pooja units, doors and windows).
These terms apply when you book or use our services through the Call The Carpenter app, the website www.callthecarpenter.in, by phone or by WhatsApp. By booking you agree to these terms.
Booking
- Booking is free. A booking is a request; it is confirmed only when we accept it and fix a visit date and time.
- A visit / inspection charge may apply. If it does, the amount is shown on the booking form before you send the request, and it appears as a separate line on your bill.
- Please give a correct name, mobile number and address. You may add photos, a voice note or a short video to explain the problem.
- We may decline a request, for example if it is outside our service area or not carpentry work.
Prices, estimates and bills
- All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR).
- For new work we visit, measure and send an estimate before starting. Work starts only after you accept it. An estimate is valid for 30 days.
- After the work, you get a bill showing the service charge and each material bought for the job separately.
- Materials are charged at the price we paid for them.
- We are not registered for GST at present, so no GST is charged on our bills.
Payment
- Payment is due when the work is completed.
- You can pay by UPI, in cash, or online (UPI, debit / credit card or net banking) through our payment partner Razorpay when online payment is available.
- Online payments are processed securely by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, bank or UPI PIN details.
Service delivery
Our services are carried out at your address in Thiruvananthapuram district on the agreed date and time. We do not ship physical goods. If we need to change the visit time, we will tell you by phone, SMS or app notification. Please make sure someone is at home and the work area is accessible.
Our work and your responsibilities
- Our staff work carefully and use suitable materials. If you are not happy with the work, tell us within 7 days and we will inspect it and fix any fault in our work at no extra service charge.
- We are not responsible for existing damage, hidden problems (for example termite damage or wet walls) or materials you supply yourself.
- Please keep valuables away from the work area and supervise children and pets during the work.

Limitation of liability
Our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid for that job, except where the law does not allow such a limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala have jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they were last changed.
